Nails • Holographic Silver Glitter Pigment

silver holographic nail pigment

And so the nail pigment obsession continues! I have so many now that I have finally had to buy a separate little box for all of the pigments to live in. I’m just happy they are all in one place now and not floating around in my bag getting a bit lost. Primark is my savour for little boxes and storage bits. I got the cutest little set with drawers that was only a few pounds too. After my Teal Holographic post, I thought I would show you my latest Silver offering…

silver holographic nail pigment review

I recently picked up this Silver Holographic pigment up from eBay and it is just so beautiful. The glitter is slightly chunkier than I would usually go for, but I was interested to see the effect that it would create. I tried it over the Red, Black and White polishes that I usually test pigments on and noticed that as it is chunkier, there are a few more gaps, so the colour underneath really changes how the pigment looks on this one. I decided to team this pigment with one of the purple shades that I got in this Clavuz set from Amazon to see how it would go.

For some reason this effect was a lot more subtle than I was expecting. I thought it would be slightly bolder like the red shade, but I do quite like the pastel tones that this has. In the light, this is the most sparkly glitter ever. It is so hard to capture a photo when it is in full Holo effect but trust me it is AMAZING!

My favourite types of pigment are definitely the Holographic ones. These are the ones that I always find myself leaning towards, lets face it, the sparklier the better! I just love the rainbow effect that they create, especially the ones that buff in like chrome. Lovely! I definitely want to try this again with a slightly bolder colour underneath. I just need more sun to sit and watch them sparkle. ❤

You’ve inspired me to go more glittery! (And to have a look on eBay) I love the look – but I hatehatehate taking them off. What do you do to get them off without a fight? x

Oooo let me know if you pick anything up. You can never have too much glitter! 🙂

I know what you mean, it depends, normally I give them a little soak in remover and it comes off easier but I think I might try a peel off base coat next, if that works I think glitter would be so much easier to get off!
