Corpse Bride x Revolution ‘Emily’ Lipstick

Corpse Bride x Revolution collection

Me…writing a beauty post, I know, it’s been a while. Being without a laptop for over 2 weeks made me realise how much I actually love posting. Even though I don’t get to write anywhere near as much as I would like, when I can’t, I really miss it. So I decided to do a bit of retail therapy and treat myself to some new bits to write about. First to show you, is this gorgeous ‘Emily‘ lipstick from the Revolution x Corpse Bride collection.

Before I start, of course I chose this lipstick based on the name. A lipstick with my name printed on it in gorgeous metallic blue writing is always going to be top of my purchase list. Secondly, Emily is the best character in Corpse Bride, so I was always going to support my girl. Years later and I am still fuming that he chooses Victoria! Anyway, this lipstick…

One of the things that really struck me with the Emily lipstick, was the packaging. In fact, the whole collection has the most gorgeous look to it. I could have honestly bought one of everything, but I had to restrain myself. I love the blue and the black theme, it is super simple but very Corpse Bride. Don’t even get me started on the skull engraved into the lipstick itself. It is absolutely beautiful, as we know I love a skull and this was the most perfect touch. I will say that this lipstick is quite bulky to hold, as it has square edges it is very chunky, but not something that should put you off at all.

Emily is the most gorgeous ‘candy pink’ shade. In fact, as soon as I saw it, I knew it was a perfect shade for me. I just love colours like this, I find them so wearable and perfect to add a little bit of pop to a look. The formula was really smooth to apply and didn’t drag at all. It did pick up every little bit of dryness though, so lip prep needs to be spot on first.

I absolutely love this shade. It’s my perfect ‘making no effort but look like you have made lots of effort’ kinda colour. I know I will get a lot of use from it and for only £5, you can’t go wrong at all! Revolution Beauty are just killing it with their collections lately, they always bring out the best Disney collections too. I may or may not have purchased a The Nightmare Before Christmas highlighter at the same time!

If you like Corpse Bride and haven’t seen the Corpse Bride x Revolution collection yet, it really is worth checking out. The Scraps makeup bag is next on my wanted list.

I had such high hopes for a lipstick that 1) has my name on it 2) a skull on it and 3) looked like my perfect colour and this one didn’t disappoint at all! ❤
