Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette

I cannot believe how long it has actually taking me to write this post. Honestly, I have become the worst person for blogging these days and I am determined to change that, as I really love this little space so much! I just feel like I have less and less time at the moment and I have no idea why. I have wanted to show you this Stoned Vibes palette for absolutely ages, I got it at Christmas and oh my, it is beautiful.

Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette Review

Lets just start with the packaging, because oh my goodness it is gorgeous. Urban Decay always seem to pull it out of the bag with their packaging, but this one just blows the others out of the water. The sleeve alone is super pretty as it has a rainbow holo vibe to it, but the palette itself, has stone facets cut into it to look like pretty gemstones and it looks gorgeous. I can’t get over how pretty it looks, I know you don’t buy makeup for the packaging but this one I would totally make an exception. The Stoned Vibes palette itself is nice and chunky, it feels really sturdy to hold and has a mirror in the lid which is always a bonus.

The shades sit in the Stoned Vibes palette in 2 rows of 6 square pans with a slot for the brush in the middle. There are 4 nude toned matte shades and 8 shimmery prism like shades. The colours are all quite neutral together with a stand out blue. When you look closely at the shimmer shades, they all have flecks of different colours running through them, like semi precious stones. The matte shades are all perfect for a base or even to blend into the shimmer colours if you don’t want a full on sparkly eye.

Good Karma / Jade / Opal Aura / Tiger’s eye / Vibes / Antidote

The top row of the palette is very warm and neutral, it has a very earthy tone to it. The 2 matte shades are very light. Good Karma is super light, as you can see it is pretty much the same colour as my arm, which has absolutely no tan to it at the moment. Antidote is more of a pale terracotta shade. Jade is a very pretty forest green, which breaks up the row a little and adds something a bit different. The other three shimmer shades work so well together, I have done so many neutral shimmery eyes using these shades.

Hexed / Bloodstone / Ojo / Raw Energy / Meditate / Third Eye

This row is a little darker than the first. The matte shades on either end are a little deeper. Hexed is a little bit more of a brick shade and Third Eye is a deep burgundy matte. The shimmer shades on this row are lovely, they work well with the row above and have nude tones again. Ojo is the stand out shade on this row and it is the most gorgeous blue, I absolutely love it.

I have found that all of the shades apply a lot better using your finger than they do with a brush. The brush doesn’t tend to pick up a lot of eyeshadow, I have even tried a wet brush but fingertip is definitely the best method to get the most out of these colours.

The shades in this palette are all super pretty. They aren’t as striking as they look in the pan, except for Ojo, which applies just as bright as it looks. I am a little disappointed that they lose a little bit of the gemstone look when they apply, but they are still really pretty nonetheless. This is a bit of a neutral shimmery palette, it’s very pretty and something I have been using a lot but I do usually prefer something with a bit more colour like the Moondust palette.

I am having camera issues at the moment, so haven’t been able to snap any of the looks I have created with Stoned Vibes so far but I am hoping to get a post up with all my Stoned Vibes looks soon. ❤

These swatches look so pigmented. I love the packaging too! Hopefully now that everyone can go out more, these shimmers/glitters will be more wearable.
