My Pop in a Box arrival was such a welcome little package this month. In these weird times, I am getting excited for any nice bit of post at the minute! It made a nice change to not be opening a bill or junk mail, that’s for sure. I always feel like a kid opening a goodie bag when I open these and it’s such a nice little feeling. Especially at the moment.
This month I opened Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This is SUCH an underrated Disney film in my opinion, it was always one of my favourites when I was younger. I always felt so sorry for Quasi and when I recently watched it again the other day (thank you Disney+!) I remembered how sad it is.
This Funko has captured Quasi’s character perfectly. He looks so like him and even his little pose is spot on. This version of Quasimodo is when he is dressed as the fool, which is such a sad bit in the movie. Let’s face it, there are lots of those in the film. I basically just spend the whole film feeling sorry for Quasimodo. Funko have really captured the gentleness of him here, which makes this little guy super sweet.
I always wanted to be Esmeralda, I remember having her doll and would choose her to play with over the princesses any day. My mum said she wanted to call me Esmeralda too and I’m kinda disappointed she didn’t to be honest ha! ❤
