Funko Pop • Mufasa

When I saw the newer wave of Lion King Funko Pops announced, I let out a little squeal of joy. I just love The Lion King so much, I could sit and watch it on repeat for hours and still enjoy it as much as the first time I put it on. There is just something about the film, the minute it starts I fall in love again. It reminds me of when I was little, it was one of the first Disney films that I experienced the Disney magic with. Obviously not the sad bits, they are just too much, but when Simba grows up walking along the bridge, I still get that same magical feeling I did when I was little. It just gives me a little warm fuzzy feeling inside, so when I saw that a Mufasa pop was being released, I knew I needed him straightaway.

Mufasa is just one of my favourite characters ever, I must admit each time I watch the film I hope for a different outcome but sadly he always gets pushed off the cliff. I always feel a little sad when I think about him though, *that* scene just makes me ball my eyes out and I just well up thinking about the scene where he talks to Simba under the stars too. You won’t be surprised to read that I don’t actually watch The Lion King a lot as I don’t always fancy sitting and weeping for hours lol.

This Funko Pop is just perfect, his face, the way he is sitting, everything. I can’t actually describe how amazing he is. I have wanted a Mufasa pop for so long and now he is here! I am just so happy with him.

Sadly, I have watched the trailers for the new live action film and honestly I’m really not feeling it. Personally I am not that into the live action remakes at all. I just love the originals and the animation so much and would rather watch them than the live action versions any day. That probably won’t stop me watching it at some point, but I won’t be rushing to the cinema to see it.

I just need to track down a Scar Funko Pop now, but I have been after him for years so I think I have no chance!
