L’Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Reds Lipstick • Eva’s Red

This time of year always makes me crave red lipsticks. As soon as Christmas crops up, I just can’t get enough of a red lippie. They just make me feel super festive. When I was in Boots a few weeks ago, I couldn’t resist picking up a new red shade to cover the Christmas period, so after lots of swatching, I left with L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in ‘Eva’s Red’.

Eva’s Red is part of L’Oreal’s Exclusive Red collection and I must say I pretty much fell in love with all of the shades. Each shade of red is specially designed to suit certain skin tones based on L’Oreal Ambassadors. As I am the spitting image of Eva Longoria, I went for her shade. Ha!

To look at, this red is more of a brick shade than some of the other reds in the collection. I like that it has a nice warm tone and thought it would be perfect for this time of year.

Eva’s Red applies a lot bolder and a lot more red than it looks in the bullet. I love the texture, it has the boldness of a matte shade but still with a nice creamy feeling to it. My perfect kind of lipstick.

I love the staying power of this lipstick too. I have struggled before with L’Oreal lipsticks not lasting very long on me, but this one just seems different. I can get a good few hours out of it, before it starts to slightly wear on the inner corners of my lips.

I think this will be my go-to lipstick for the festive season, I just need to find a reason to buy the others too!
