Barry M Nail Paint – Bug a Blue

Barry M Nail Paint - Bug a Blue

I have mentioned before about my love for Barry M nail polishes, so when I saw the shade Bug a Blue in Boots for 50p, I knew I needed to snap it up straightaway. I have never noticed this little sale corner in my local Boots before, but I definitely won’t miss it again.

In the bottle, Bug a Blue appears as a pastel sky blue, nice and vibrant but still light enough for me to wear on my pastel craving days. I do love a pastel polish, they just scream summer to me, especially this one, it makes me think of ice cream and blue skies.

Once painted, Bug a Blue is exactly the same shade as it looks in the bottle. I find that it’s very rare that this happens, the polishes are either darker, lighter or completely different but this made a nice change.

This polish is part of the Sunset Gel range, I didn’t actually realise that you need the Sunset Gel topcoat to get the full effect, but this works pretty well without it. The polish applies perfectly in 2 coats with a gloss effect and the colour is absolutely gorgeous.

I am so glad I picked this up, hopefully I can find more 50p bargains on my next few trips to Boots. ♥
