I don’t know what it is about the clocks changing for Spring, but I always feel like making little changes myself too. As it marks the start of a new season, I almost like to see it as a Spring/Summer fresh start for me too. I find that this is the perfect time to change my hair colour and of course this year has been no different.
I had been tempted to change my hair for a little while now, I just couldn’t decide on the colour that I wanted. I popped into Boots recently and noticed L’Oreal’s Colorista range on display. Once I spotted the Indigo shade, I knew that this was the colour that I wanted to go.
I had been fading out the lilac for about 2 weeks now and it has been driving me mad. By the time it came to dying, my hair was a dirty white shade. Good for applying new colour, but bad for me as it just looked so dull and bland. I bleached and toned my roots and popped this dye straight on. When I washed it off, the result was so vibrant. It kind of looks like i’ve ombréd parts of it as it switches from purple to electric blue. I think I might do a review post when it comes to re-dying, that way I can let you know on staying power and how it fades etc.
I am super happy with it, the photo’s really don’t do this colour justice. It’s funny, how something so simple as to changing hair colour can act almost like a refresh button. I feel as though I am ready for the sunnier months now! ♥

Ahhh this looks amazing! You look amazing! Suits you so well! I loved the look of this colour in the box too but I wasn't sure how it would apply to my hair as I don't bleach it or how long it would last. You look incredible tho, and I'd love to see a review later! Xx

Ohh my, the colour is so pretty!! I have seen the Colorista range everywhere lately and have been wanting to try some of their colours too! I will definitely need to soon 🙂
