Threads Eyelashes

threads eyelashes

I absolutely love the look that false eyelashes create. The thicker and vampier the lashes, the better they are. So when I was contacted by Threads to try some of them out, I jumped at the chance!

My only problem is that I really struggle to apply them. It doesn’t matter how many times I try, I can never get them right. I either end up with the corner flicking up, or my makeup ruined with my eyes stuck together. Attractive. This is why I was excited but nervous to give these a go, as I was hoping I would suddenly  be able to do it.

threads emiloo and charleston eyelashes

The lashes that I was sent are called Charleston* and Emiloo* from the Angel Lashes collection. Both sets come in a simple red box. The packaging isn’t the most amazing I have ever seen, but it does the job. Although, I would have liked it to be a little more fancy – this is just my personal preference though.

Somehow, I managed to apply both sets and was proper pleased with myself! I know they are not applied perfectly, but they are on and thats all that matters…

The Charleston lashes are the more natural looking of the sets. I think that they are perfect for daytime and create a lovely amount of length. Out of the 2 these were much easier to apply and seemed to stick a lot better, this might be me not applying enough glue though!

Emiloo Eyelashes*

I like the name Emiloo because it sounds like Emily and is what my Gramps used to call me when I was little. Nice little random fact for you there! These lashes are my favourite of the two, as they are slightly fuller and more vampy! They were a bit trickier to apply, but this may just be down to my rubbish eyelash applying skills.

threads false eyelashes

I love how false lashes look in photos, they seem to create a certain boldness that you can rarely capture with a mascara. I am so chuffed that I actually managed to get them on, I ended up sitting with them on all day with nowhere to go, just because I could! Overall, these lashes seem really good quality. As I don’t wear lashes too much, I don’t really have anything to compare them to. They came off really well too, so I am hoping I get a fair few more uses from them before they go to eyelash heaven.

I will definitely be attempting to use these more in the future, now I know I can get them on there is no stopping me!

Available from Harvey Nichols and Threads Beauty

These look fabulous, especially the Emiloo ones! I have always been curious about trying false eyelashes but I'm so clumsy that I thought I'd mess them up or just get a load of glue in my eye, which scares me 😀 I really need to just go for it though! Your eyes look gorgeous in these photos by the way 🙂

Thank you so much lovely! Definitely give lashes a try, they always seem a lot more daunting to apply than they are! 🙂
