I am always on the hunt for a new topcoat, especially one that stops me from smudging my nails a nano second after I have painted them. I found this Models Own Top Coat in Asda (I always think having cosmetics in supermarkets is a bit random, but at least it means I can chuck them in with the food shop!) and thought I would try it out.
I didn’t actually realise when I purchased this that there was no brush. I was slightly confused at first but the pipette type application actually makes it a little fun. The idea is to drop a small amount on the nails after they have been painted for about a minute. The top coat dries really quickly and the nail polish underneath does too. The liquid does run onto your fingers slightly which cant’t really be avoided when applying this way, but it doesn’t leave any texture on the skin, it just kind of absorbs.
My nails are usually dry to touch within seconds, although it does depend on the thickness of the polish underneath. This doesn’t seem to work as well on thicker layers, especially glitter but I just do more thinner layers instead.
As usual with models own polish, I am very impressed! ♥
