Every now and again a lipstick comes into your life and you end up wondering how you lived without it. Hearts Aflame to me, is one of these lipsticks. Lipsticks are my Achilles heel when it comes to make up. I can never have enough and seem to pick up a new shade on every shopping trip. The darker the better. I always prefer a darker lip but I feel I can get away with it a lot more in winter. I picked up this lipstick way back in September but somehow have become so obsessed with it, that I completely missed writing about it.
Hearts Aflame is a typical vampy red and I absolutely love it. The shade itself is like a deep brick colour which has a nice burgundy hint. Being a matte formula, I was worried that this could be really drying, however it actually has a nice creamy texture to it which is such a bonus!
Sadly, this shade was part of the ‘Novel Romance’ collection so is no longer available although I’m sure it will reappear as part of a different collection at some point. ♥
Such a pretty color and I just love how dark it is.
