MAC satin lipstick – snob

I have had this lipstick for absolutely ages but have only really just started using it. I fancied a bit more of a lighter shade so picked up Snob from the MAC counter. I loved it instantly when I swatched it on my hand as I thought it was the perfect summer pink, a nice mix of dusky pink with a bit of a purpley nude tone thrown in.

Unfortunately for me I find the colour a bit stark against my skin tone and I always feel the need to tone it down slightly when I wear it. The shade is described as a ‘light neutral pink’ which I would say is pretty accurate for MAC as sometimes they tend to use some cryptic sounding shade descriptions! On me, it looks very cartoon like so I definitely have to layer it with something else to make it less in your face and barbie looking.

The finish of this lipstick is satin which seems similar to matte but with a bit more of a sheen to it. This is definitely one of the most pigmented lipsticks I own, although I do find it quite streaky when you first start applying but it does seem to even itself out eventually. I found this colour very similar to Saint Germain lipstick just a lot more matte looking. I think this would suit paler skin tones a lot more than mine, but I have found layering a another shade on top works perfectly.

I love Snob! I also really like Saint Germain (which is an amplified). Creme Cup is my fave 🙂

I have Saint Germain too, although it is a bit too bright for me!

Snob is one of my holy grail lipsticks from MAC. I love the way it looks on you as well! This would be really pretty paired with some gloss for a night out! I found your blog through the bright side blog hop and I really like it so I have followed you 🙂

I've never tried a MAC lipstick but I really want to, but they have such a big colour selection I always get overwhelmed whenever I'm at the counter! I came from the #bbloggers blog hop and I love your blog, I'm definitely following!

If you could check out my blog and give me some advice, that'd be brilliant!

I think they are definitely worth the splurge, the only problem is the choice!
