I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, today I have to show you a new addition to my nails inc family;
‘Westbourne Park’ hologram polish. Now I have been interested in holo’s since the GOSH holographic hype, although I never actually managed to get my hands on it. Before you think I’m silly and thats its readily available in the local Superdrug, I didn’t actively try, I just kinda forgot about it, bad Emmy! Last month, I recieved an email from nails inc. saying that I had a £5 birthday voucher, then a few days later I recieved an email showcasing this holographic nail varnish, fate? I think so!
Now in natural daylight this polish isn’t much, it has a slight holo effect to it though nothing special but once you get this nail varnish outside it is truly magical! The rainbow seems to burst out as soon as the varnish hits sun, the effect actually looks more like a nail wrap than a polish..amazing!
I was really impressed with the application, initially I was thinking that it would be quite sheer and that I was going to regret not using a base colour, oh how wrong I was! The varnish was opaque in 2 coats which is what the above photos show. The colour itself is a bright silver made up of really, really tiny iridescent glitter pieces, which are perfect for a sparkle lover like me. The colour reminds me of spacesuits and now whenever I look at my nails I keep singing Beastie Boys – Intergalactic, so now it won’t get out of my head ha!
I know this nail varnish is going to stay on as long as the sun stays out, just so I can stare at all of the pretty colours that it reflects. If you love rainbows, I can’t recommend this varnish enough..squeee!
this is a lush nail polish! Just wish I didn't get varnish everywhere when I paint my nails;)
check out my blog?
Haha, you should see me trying to paint my right hand! Usually keep nail varnish and a paintbrush handy to clean up afterwards! 😉
