MAC matte lipstick ‘mehr’

Hello! Today I have a new lipstick to show you, and this one for me was a bit of a bargain. I have a Debenhams Beauty Club Card which is really good if you buy a lot of your make up or fragrance from Debenhams (You earn points and rewards as you spend) Near me, Debenhams is the only place that stocks MAC and nails inc. so I tend to earn most of my points that way. Anyway I had a £5 reward on my card and over the weekend they also had 10% off, which meant I could get a MAC lipstick for £7.60 (yippee!). I am a huge fan lipsticks and there isn’t a shade that I won’t try out. As usual by the time I had finished swatching my hand looked like a rainbow gone wrong. But in the end I settled for the gorgeous shade ‘Mehr‘. There is nothing like swatching all the different colours at a makeup counter.

I don’t usually go for Matte finish lipsticks as they tend to pick out every flaw of your lips if you’re not careful, but I decided that I liked the colour that much, any flaw could be sorted with balm. The colour of Mehr itself is a rose tinted nude, which is really opaque as you would expect with a matte finish. I really love it, my only problem is that it does feel slightly heavy on the lips without a balm as a base, but once this was tried again with a balm first it was fine.

This is such a staple lipstick  and the shade would make a perfect addition to any lipstick collection. It’s one of those shades that go with any makeup look, it’s absolutely perfect!
