I don’t know about you, but my skin has been absolutely shocking during lockdown. I don’t have the best skin anyway, but it has just felt so blooming dry at the moment. I had been trying to get a little better with my previously non existent skincare routine anyway, so when I was offered the chance to try the PMD Clean* I was super happy to give it a go.
The PMD Clean* is a facial cleansing device, made of silicone with different textures on each side of the brush head. One side is full of soft silicone bristles, which are designed to remove the skins impurities. It vibrates 7000 times per minute to break down dirt and oil from within the pores. The other side is flatter with a few wavy grooves to massage serums and moisturisers in. There are four different vibration settings which I would describe as 1-medium, 2-intense, 3-pulsing, 4-fast pulse. They are definitely all quite strong vibrations though.
Having Rosacea, I always find that I need to be careful when it comes to my face. The smallest little thing can aggravate it, so I am always a little apprehensive about trying things out. I gave this a go on my nose area first as that is where I have the most issues and then slowly moved across my cheeks. I have been popping my usual cleanser on and then buffing it in using the bristle side of the PMD Clean.* I prefer the intense setting (2) on my nose and then the medium setting (1) on the rest of my face. I spend most of the time on my nose area and then not as long on my cheeks so I don’t flare them up.
Once cleansed, I have been applying moisturiser using the other side. I like all of the settings using this side as they feel a lot less intense. After a few minutes the moisturiser makes my skin feel beautiful and a lot softer than it normally does. I definitely think I prefer this side. It feels so therapeutic applying moisturisers with this.
The PMD Clean* is super easy to hold and really light too. It’s easy to move across different areas and has definitely become part of my usual night time routine. I have been using this for a good few weeks now and my lockdown skin is feeling a whole lot clearer. I like the fact that this is battery powered too, so I can just pick it up at the end of the day without trying to find the nearest plug.
Have you changed your skincare routine at all lately? ❤
