Hello, hello, hello, I hope you are all keeping safe and well at the moment! Personally, I have just been feeling a little lost and debating what to do with this blog a little. I really have the urge to write more and use this as my little safe space from everything going on, but on the flip side I am torn as I don’t want anyone to think I don’t care, it can just be a bit too much for my little head to cope with so I need my favourite hobby to come back to. I think I am going to continue writing at the moment so I (and you guys) have somewhere to escape too. I hope you don’t mind.
A nice little bit of post that did arrive just before we went into lockdown was my Pop in a Box for March. I am so pleased, as it was such a welcome little parcel, a bit of normality in a very surreal time really. When I opened it I was so chuffed that it was Vampire Teddy and Duck from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have wanted this one for ages and it is so nice to be able to add them to my Nightmare Before Christmas shelf.
I already have the miniature version of Vampire Teddy that I got with one of my Jack Skellington Pop’s but I just love the full size version of him. The fact that he has the little duck with him too is just great, I mean I would have loved receiving these for Christmas so I don’t really know what those little kids were scared of in the film haha! Especially the duck, I think he is great!
Both of these are really well made, although I did have a bit of trouble getting Vampire Teddy on the stand but that isn’t down to the design just a case of me being a bit dim when it comes to logic aha! They are both spot on and I am just so in love with all of the recent Nightmare Before Christmas Funko Pop’s. Pop in a Box seem to know this, as they have been on such a roll with sending them to me too.
Who are your favourite characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas? I love so many of them, so it is so hard to chose just one. Apart from Jack of course, I do have a bit of a soft spot for Oogie Boogie! ❤
