Makeup Look Metallic Rose

Before I start, I totally want to apologise for the missed makeup post last week. I knew the moment I said I would do a weekly beauty series, something would happen and I would end up missing a post. I just didn’t expect it to be this early in ha! I don’t even know how I missed it, but thinking back it was definitely down to my lack of organisational skills. I. WILL. GET. BETTER.

So, trying to get myself back on track, I thought I would hit you with this weeks makeup look, using one of my favourite brands ever – Urban Decay.

Makeup Look Metallic Rose

For this look I used one of the best palettes I own, the Heavy Metals Eyeshadow Palette. There isn’t a single shade in this palette that I don’t like which is so unusual for me, but that is how I know it is pure love. I remember when Urban Decay announced this one and it was one of those ‘OMG I need this in my life’ moments, which happens to me quite a lot, but for this one I DID actually need this in my life.

I decided to go for a slightly more neutral look this week using the more pink and warmer toned shades in the palette. As the shades have a metallic foil like effect to them, I find that they make the prettiest looks. I used the shade ‘Angelfire’ as a base, buffing up to my brow bone. I then made the shade ‘Punk Rock’ the main focus colour and then added the darker shade of ‘Afterparty’ along the outer edges and the copper tones of ‘Starfire’ for that inner glow. As I wanted to keep the look quite soft, I then just topped it off with mascara.

I love using these kind of shades, as they make me seem so much more awake than I actually am. There is something about rose and coppers that just make my eyes seem brighter. This is such an everyday look for me, especially for days where I don’t have time to try out something new. During the week, I usually find myself reaching for the rose colours, they are pretty much my saviour. ❤

Products I used:

Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette ‘Punk Rock, Starfire, Afterparty, Angel Fire’
L’Oreal Paradise Waterproof Mascara

Estée Lauder Doublewear Foundation ‘ 3C0 Cool Creme’
Makeup Revolution Vintage Lace Blush Palette
Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Powder ‘Luminous’

NYX Micro Brow Pencil ‘Chocolate’

MAC Matte Lipstick ‘Mehr’
