Games Night With giffgaff

I was recently contacted by giffgaff to see if I would like to take part in their Games Night campaign. The idea of the campaign was to organise a games night to reconnect with friends/family members and have some fun. As you all know by now, me and Lewis snuck off and got married last month. We always said that once we were back, we would start organising celebrations with our family and friends. giffgaff couldn’t have contacted me at a better time, as one of my brothers lives in Wales, which is around 5 hours from where I live, so we thought whilst we were there celebrating with my parents, we could fit in a little games night of fun too.

For those of you that don’t know, giffgaff is a UK mobile network. What makes them different is the fact that you are not tied to a contract, so you can change plan with them each month if you wanted or stay on the same one. They have a wide range of SIM only deals to cover everyones mobile needs and as a company have a real community vibe to them.

We decided to give the Games Night a bit of a spooky theme to keep in with the time of year. I picked up the cutest little ghost plates and napkins, to give it a little Halloween spin. We all decided that pizza would be the best food for a games night, I mean pizza is the best food for any occasion really, but once agreed on flavours the pizza was ordered (with pineapple of course!). Whilst waiting for the food to arrive, my little nephew was on hand to help lay the table and decorations. He definitely loved the plates the most and was such a cute little helper! He managed to get himself in nearly every photo I took too, so I think he wanted to make an appearance on the blog! Once the food arrived, we tucked in and started the gaming fun.

We were kindly sent Weird Things Humans Search For, Obama Llama 2 and Bucket of Doom all by Big Potato Games. We started off with a few rounds of Weird Things Humans Search For, which was my favourite game of the bunch. Some of the answers were absolutely hilarious and I know this one will definitely be coming back out at Christmas. The answers that you think will be on the card are never there and the most random ones seem to be there, it was a good job I was the one reading the answers out or I would have had no chance. When it came to Obama Llama 2, I had my little helper back with the scorecard marking everyones points down for them.

After a few tense rounds, my lovely niece took away the trophy. Although I left it being shared around between her and my nephews. If I had thought about it, I should definitely have taken more than 1 trophy with me to avoid a family feud – dammit!

I just wanted to thank giffgaff for asking me to be involved in this campaign. It was so lovely to be able to get some of my family together and share the fun. I don’t get to see my brother and family anywhere near as much as I would like due to us all being so far from each other. This campaign is all about reconnecting and that is exactly what it helped us to do!

Loved working on this campaign, it was so much fun (we went for pizza too, the perfect games night food!). Hoping to get to make it a monthly institution around here, such a great way to arrange to catch up with friends.
