My Favourite Disney Films

The ONLY good thing about being ill, is the fact that it is pretty much a ready made excuse to binge watch films. My film of choice is pretty much always something from Disney. I just love a good old Disney film, even if I have seen them 400 times before, I am always more than happy to chuck one on again. This has got me thinking about my favourites though and which films I would take with me if I was stuck on a desert island.

I *think* I have narrowed it down to 6 though, although as soon as I hit publish, I will inevitably think of a few more!

1 – The Lion King – This is definitely number one for me. I have loved The Lion King, ever since I was little. Even though I have seen it so, so many times I don’t think there has ever been a time where I have watched it without crying. I do absolutely love it, I just don’t think I will ever be able to cope with Mufasa dying. The bit were Simba grows up walking along the bridge is my absolute favourite though.

2 – The Aristocats – This is probably where my love of cats started! I used to sing Everybody wants to be a cat constantly, I’m surprised my mum and dad didn’t throw something at me. I really like the fact that there is Marie merch everywhere at the minute too. I say this sat in a pair of the most comfy Marie pyjamas ever too, win!

3 – Monsters inc. – I love, love, love Monsters inc. I remember the first time I watched it and completely fell in love with it. The jokes still make me laugh today just as much as they did back then, it just goes to show how much my humour hasn’t changed. I love the story and it is one of the first Pixar films that I fell in love with. Sulley is just my favourite, as you can probably tell with these slippers.

4 – Beauty and the Beast – Of course Beauty and the Beast was going to be in this list. One of my all time favourite princess films. I always wanted to be Belle, I just love the film so much. The songs are perfect and Beast is such a cutie too!

5 – Toy Story – How could Toy Story not be here. It is such a classic film and one of the only series where I actually like all of the films. I was OBSESSED with the Aliens when I was younger, although who am I kidding, I still am!

6 – Pocahontas – This was one of my absolute favourite films when I was little. I watched it so much, that the tape wore out. Remember those? VHS tapes, what a crazy time! Anyway, the songs from this film are beautiful and meaningful, I still love it so much.

You wouldn’t believe how long it took me to narrow this selection down. I think I am finally settled though! What would be your top Disney films? ❤
