Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Heat

Oh how I love a makeup sale! I can’t remember the last time I had a proper makeup splurge, so when I last visited my local Urban Decay counter, I ended up leaving with wayyy too many items. I just can’t resist, especially when there are good little treasures left. One of the things I ended up buying was this Vice Lipstick in the shade Heat.

I absolutely love the packaging, it sticks to the usual Vice lipstick style, but instead of the regular gunmetal colour, it is a lovely Copper shade. As it is part of the Naked Heat collection, the colour of the packaging has been adapted to give us all the Summery feels and it definitely works. As usual, being so shiny, the lipstick is really hard to photograph and my clumsy fingers managed to put fingerprints everywhere.

Heat is a bright red shade filled with tiny red glittery pieces. It applies slightly brighter than it looks in the bullet, but still has a slight raspberry vibe to it, so it doesn’t come across as an in your face red. I really like this shade, I don’t know if I would associate it with summer too much though, as red lipstick always makes me think of Christmas! That’s just me though as I do spend 99% of the year with Christmas on my mind.

This lipstick lasted on me for around 3-4 hours before it started to wear in the corners. I’m impressed, as glitters usually tend to rub off my lips super quickly, I think I talk too much so it just ends up rubbing off. The rest of the lipstick stayed put though and just ended up fading to a slightly duller version.

I really like this Heat lipstick and am super pleased I picked it up in the sale. I will definitely get lots of wear from it when I am feeling a bit of a bold lip, especially at Christmas! ❤
