Kat Von D London Calling Makeup Set

Kat Von D London Calling Makeup Set

When I heard that Kat Von D’s makeup range was coming to the UK, I felt a few different emotions. Happiness because she is one of my idols and I have wanted to try her beauty range since it was launched, worry as I know that I am going to have to avoid Debenhams each month before all of my bills have been paid and then guilt for the money that I am about to spend ha!

I was looking at the Debenhams website the other day and saw that one of her sets was on there already, so I snapped this up immediately.

This set includes 3 of Kat’s favourite pieces in miniature size. I have never been so excited to try new makeup as I have been with these. Told you..she is my total idol. As expected, the packaging is perfect. The rose detail is beautiful and makes me want a tattoo from Kat even more than I already do and the studs on the side of the lipstick means it looks perfect on my bedroom side.

Inside the set, you get the following…

Kat Von D tattoo liner
 Tattoo Liner – Trooper
At first I was unsure how this was going to be any different from other eyeliners I own, but then I started to create a wing and instantly fell in love. This wasn’t as dark as I thought it was going to be on the first application, but once I layered it a few times it was a perfect black. The nib is flawless and makes it so easy to create a perfect cateye.
Kat Von D studded kiss lipstick
 Studded Kiss Lipstick – Lolita
Lolita is a lovely terracotta shade, that has a slight pink tint to it. The finish is very creamy and this doesn’t dry the lips at all. It stays on for about 3-4 hours before it starts to fade out to a slightly duller shade.
Kat Von D everlasting lipstick
Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Double Dare
This shade is very similar to Lolita, but applies like a gloss instead. After a few seconds, this then dries to a lipstick but with better staying power than Lolita. This lasted for hours, including eating (lets face it when am I not eating) before it budged. It doesn’t feel tight or anything when it has dried either.

I decided to try out the Tattoo Liner and the Everlasting Lipstick for a look in the above photo. The swatch shows the Everlasting Lipstick wet, but you can see on me that it dries with a nice matte effect.

This set has definitely lived up to the expectation that I wanted it too. I love every item and just cannot wait for the full Debenhams launch!

Such an awesome set they brought out to get ready for the launch! 😀

I didn't pick it up as I didn't think the lip colours would suit me and I wouldn't use the eye liner.

I can't wait to pick up some liquid lipsticks though!
