I first showed you this lipstick on in my Duty Free haul post and I must say that I have been hooked ever since! I seem to be gravitating towards this kind of shade more and more as the nights draw in. If there has ever been a more perfect Autumn lipstick, it’s Captive!
Captive is a beautiful shade, a nice mix between red and plum with a bit of pink thrown in. It is not too bold and not too pale and one of those shades that will suit most people as it is so warm looking. It applies pretty much the same colour as it looks in the bullet, just with less of a brown tone.
As this is a Satin finish, it lasts for a good few hours before budging and even when it does it leaves the lips with a nice pinky tint. I really like this finish as it doesn’t leave the lips dry and has a kind of moisturising feel to it. I have found that it bleeds a little when I apply it so I always try to use a brush to smooth the edges, but other than that it is perfect! ♥
